Can be turned in clockwise or counterclockwise direction (for right-and left-hand threads). For unscrewing ruined screws and bolts without damaging threads. Tip has a built-in center punch pin to mark the center point. Drill a hole in the broken fastener with appropriate size drill bit. Tap extractor into hole and use a socket or wrench to loosen the fastener. Tapered flute design. Black-Oxide, cutting edges polished. Made of high-strength chrome vanadium steel.
