Klein Tools ET140 is designed to non-invasively detect hidden moisture content up to 3/4-Inch (19 mm) depth. Easily select between materials with mode button to test surface of drywall, masonry, hardwood, and softwood. The ET140 has easy viewing with bright, reverse-contrast display and LED bar graph.Detect moisture without causing damage by using Klein’s ET140 pinless moisture meter. This meter uses an electromagnetic field to find moisture up to ¾” deep in building materials with absolutely no damage to the material.
With the mode button, test materials like wood (hard or soft), masonry, and drywall. The easy to read LED display and clear readout will indicate how much moisture is present.

Klein Tools is the result of one of those “happy accidents” that turn out to be revolutionary. Klein Tools famously got their start in 1857 when a linesman came to founder Matthias Klein to repair his broken pliers. Klein replaced the broken half and when the old half of the tool broke too, Klein forged a replacement for that, thus making the first Klein Linesman pliers.
