Features
3M Nitrile High Performance Plastic Adhesive 1099 creates assembled bonds that are proven to be strong. Drying quickly at room temperature with approximately 40 minutes of working time, this adhesive bonds well to plastics and vinyl, providing long-term adhesion with resistance to substrate plasticizer migration; it can also achieve even higher bonding properties through heat-initiated chemical reaction. 3M Nitrile High Performance Plastic Adhesive 1099 bonds to a variety of substrates, including leather and most vinyl sheeting, as well as plastics for a strong, enduring ahesion. These properties make it ideal for aftermarket automotive repair, including panel installation and upholstery; banners and awnings; and both general industrial and MRO applications.
Ideal for Vinyl & Plastic

Speed Up the Bonding Process
With 3M™ Nitrile High Performance Plastic Adhesive 1099 you can quickly meet the requirements of your bonding application. This fast drying adhesive forms a durable bond at room temperature, but also has optional heat-initiated chemical reaction to achieve even higher bond properties. Additionally, this adhesive is sprayable with industrial grade spray equipment, bringing convenience and consistency to large scale applications.
Applying Your Adhesive
Whether it is being sprayed, brushed or rolled on, the application of your 3M™ adhesive is a straightforward process. Start by carefully applying your adhesive to your surface until you’ve formed a uniform coat. Using an overlapping pattern, the application of one coat should prove sufficient for most surfaces. Effective adhesive coverage is accomplished when 80% or more of the surface is covered. Some substrates, including porous materials, may require an additional coat. In order to apply additional adhesive, simply wait until the existing adhesive becomes dry to the touch, and then proceed with the application of the additional coat.
